This scar is very popular. It is at the junction of the darker areolar skin and the lighter breast skin. If you scar more darkly, it appears to be part of the areola. A lighter scar looks like skin. This is a natural interface that is a good place for a scar.

Pros: Excellent scar in most patients.

Cons:

• If scar hypertrophies or widens, it is noticeable when nude.
• Dissection is through the breast tissue and therefore, more tissue trauma occurs.
