The axillary incision is the Rolls Royce of scars. There is absolutely no scar on breast. The scar is in a natural crease in the highest point of the hollow of the armpit.

Pros: Best scar

Cons:

  • Not everyone can have this approach, i.e., if you droop too much.
  • If you get a hard breast (capsular contracture), which occurs around 5% of the time, it will need to be treated by way of an additional perioreolar or inframammary scar.
